Information about listed doctors

Most doctors in the directory did not register themselves. We gather their details from sources that are already public: Google Maps, the Facebook pages of clinics, clinic websites and other public medical directories. What we publish is what the doctor or clinic already published so that patients could reach them:

• Name, specialty and qualifications
• Clinic addresses and hours, and the consultation fee where it is published
• Phone and WhatsApp numbers, social media pages and website
• The published photo of the doctor or clinic
• Ratings and reviews published on Google and Facebook, with the reviewer's name and date as shown there

Phone numbers are not written into the doctor's page itself; they appear only when the call button is tapped, so they cannot be harvested automatically.

If you are a doctor and want your details corrected or updated, or your page removed altogether, write to info@dakatramisr.com from an address or number that shows your connection to the clinic. We act on requests as quickly as we can and within 30 days at most.

What we collect when you use the site

The site needs no account or sign-up, and we never ask for your name or email to search for or contact a doctor.

We record usage events to learn what people look for and which pages help them: search terms, pages viewed, and taps on the call, WhatsApp, directions and share buttons. Each event is tied to a daily token derived from your internet address (IP) and browser type; the token changes every day, cannot be traced back to the address, and the IP address itself is not stored with the events.

We use the IP address and browser type in the moment to prevent abuse: we cap how often phone numbers can be revealed from one address, and refused attempts are recorded with the address range and a browser signature.

Our hosting provider keeps the usual server logs (address, page, time) for a short period for security and operations.

Claiming a doctor's page

When a doctor claims their page, we send a verification code by SMS to the clinic's published number through an Egyptian SMS provider. The number is used only for verification, and we keep the verification record as proof of ownership of the page.

Cookies and measurement

We set no tracking or advertising cookies of our own. What we may store in your browser is limited to your language choice and the security checks that tell a real browser from automated software.

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits. It works without cookies, does not follow you across other sites, and gives us aggregate numbers only.

Google ads

The site shows ads through Google AdSense. Google and its third-party partners use cookies and advertising identifiers to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other sites, and to measure how the ads perform.

You can turn off personalised ads in Google's Ads Settings, and read how Google uses data from its partners' sites on Google's page about it. You can also block third-party cookies in your browser settings; the site works the same without them.

Visitors in the European Union, the United Kingdom and Switzerland see a consent message before these cookies are used, and can change their choice at any time.

Where data is kept

The site is hosted on Vercel, the database on Neon, photos on Vercel Blob and abuse-prevention counters on Upstash. These services run outside Egypt, in Europe and the United States, so the data described above is transferred to and stored outside Egypt with providers that meet recognised security standards.

We do not sell your data or the doctors' data to anyone.

How long we keep it

• Doctor details: for as long as the page is published, or until removal is requested.
• Usage events: kept in the anonymous form described above, for statistics.
• Verification records: for as long as the page stays claimed.
• Server logs: a few days.

Your rights

Under Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020 you may ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to how it is used. Visitors in the European Union and the United Kingdom have equivalent rights under the GDPR.

Send your request to info@dakatramisr.com and we will answer within 30 days. If our answer does not satisfy you, you may complain to Egypt's Personal Data Protection Center or the competent authority in your country.

Children

The site is meant for adults looking for a doctor, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

When we change what we collect or how we use it, we publish the new version here with its date. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page.
